Now I get my fair share of Nigerian 419 scam emails, but there is something about the email I received today that makes me think it may be a new variant. Check it out:

Now it goes without saying I have no interests or knowledge of the oil and gas industry. And if I post my CV on a website, only a qualified employer can email me, and then only on an individual basis. Notice how the TO field was blank? Notice that the salary is very high (even though that is a reasonable sum for this industry). And notice there is a clear lack of specific qualifications.

My guess is that some poor, out of work rube will respond to the email and the 419′ers will then say they need to wire them some sort of money in order to arrange for a transit visa or whatever.
