Conspiracy in Georgia
So its been a while since we could yarn a good conspiract theory:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/georgia/story/0,14065,1405641,00.html
So, the head of the nation (well, the PM anyway) dies at a ‘friends’ house from a faulty space heater.
Come on, who is buying this stuff anyway? I don’t wish to joke about gas poisonings, considering I did know of someone dieing the same exact way back in my Prague days. But that guy was a backpacker, and this guy was the Prime Minister of a country.
Ridding The Beast: Intro
It stands to reason that a number of people really hate Microsoft. No really, you say. Yes really.
I know it is by no means a news flash, but somewhere around Win 3.1 and Win95, MS started to be referred to as M$. When the evil monikers start, thats when things go bad.
But in this case, M$ was lucky. Why? Well OS/Warp was saddled with about the worst advertising campaign in history, and the Mac….well, was the Mac really.
In other words, M$ got to go about their job of producing marginal software, because there was so few people really getting it right. Marc Andreeson? Anyone remember this guy anymore? My point exactly.
Times they are a-changin’ though. A few years ago Open Source started getting organised, and the Enterprise stated taking a long hard look at Linux.

About Me
Hi there.
My name is Geoffrey McCaleb, and I welcome you to my tiny little corner of ether. I’ve been around the net for a while but this is (sadly) my first attempt at doing something truly interesting for myself.
Personal
I write, listen to good music, travel, and drink coffee; not neccesarily in that order, and not with any varying degree of success either. I presently live in London, but I’ve had the luck to live in places like Prague, San Francisco, Dubai, and Los Angeles.
First Post
So the installation was as easy as they said. Drupal, took all of 10 minutes to install. It would have been shorted, but I didn’t know the password to MySQL and had to spend a few minutes guessing.
So if your reading this, then surely you must be bored. This was (is) the first post of idiotabroad. Hopefully, I won’t get too bored of this enterprise and after a short while this post will be burried deep in the ether.
The only minor annoyance is the htmlarea module which seems to like flashing repeatedly every time I type content. That may be down to my using the Firefox browser, or a non-M$ OS. Who knows?
As they say, every beginning must have an end. In my case, I hope its the other way around. So this is my beginning.
