Jihad against all phone booths!
Pity the poor phone booth.
Against all sides a war is being waged against their numbers. One the one side, you have cheap mobile phones that are rapidly making the phone booth irrelevant.
Then on the other side, you have thoughtless hoolegans who seem hell-bent on smashing every phone box in existance into pieces.
However, there is one Phone Booth (called Phone Box in the UK) that refuses to go quietly into the night. It is the hardy phone booth outside of the Kew Bridge rail station in West London. Over the last two months, the booth has been ransacked not once, not twice, but three times!
Each time, thankfully, the booth has picked itself up, dusted itself off, and had its glass replaced.
I’m betting that wonton destruction will decend on this hapless booth in about a week or two.
