Lost innocence. How can a parent sell their kid?
I normally try not to think too deeply on a Friday, but this sort of thing just turns my stomach. First we had the child sold off in Saudi Arabia to pay off her fathers debts, now we have virtually the same story coming out of Afghanistan. Except the father in this case was a drug addict and knee deep with gambling debts, and the child was so depressed about the whole thing she tried to burn herself alive.

Seriously, anyone who is a parent will be completely revolted, angered, depressed, angered, and angered by the above video. When you have a child, you are now responsible for another human being. You pour every once of your love and devotion into your child, so it is maddening to think people can so easily treat them as chattle later on down the line.
